ENVE SES Aero Road bar

As part of the Enve Smart System (SES series), the new ENVE SES Aero Road bar relies on Enve’s most sophisticated technology and engineering techniques to ensure a fast, stiff, and aerodynamic set of drop bars. Similar to its Aero bar platform and carbon wheel lineup, Enve partnered with aerodynamics expert Simon Smart for this road bar project. An ex-formula One aerodynamicist with more than 15 years of experience in the motor sport world, Smart worked directly with Enve to create this new cockpit design.

To start, the Enve SES Aero Road Handlebar was designed specifically with racing in mind. As such, it’s the first handlebar Enve’s built with hidden, internal cable routing paired with a rigid carbon construction. Wearing much of the same profile as Enve’s standard compact road bar design, the Aero was developed to work with a variety of hand shapes. The first thing you’ll most likely notice is the super-flat, wide top section of the bars. The main objective here was to increase the bar’s aerodynamics by creating this wind-cheating profile. This UCI-approved teardrop section smoothly flows into the 31.8mm clamping interface.

The bars feature 127mm of drop and 77mm of reach, along with 25mm of flare from the tops to the lowest section of the drops. The handlebar also incorporates a sophisticated pair of integrated bar ends. With its 100% handmade carbon fiber design, the SES Aero Road handlebar is exceptionally lightweight, rigid, and aerodynamic.

The Enve SES Aero Road Handlebar is available in three sizes from 40cm to 44cm and in the color Black. The bar weighs roughly 250g. Please note: Because the bar flares from the top down and is measured from center-to-center at the ends, the tops are narrower than the listed measurement. Enve recommends ordering a size up from normal if you spend the majority of your time riding on the hoods and tops.
